The first real Catalina Wine Mixer took place in 2015 on Catalina Island, located off the coast of Southern California. It was designed to capture the spirit of the movie while offering a unique and memorable experience for attendees.
The real-life Catalina Wine Mixer has grown into a multi-day event held annually, usually in early September. It features a variety of activities that cater to diverse interests, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
